The Stronghold Dom's series has been leading up to this book, which tells Lexie and Patrick's story.Lexie's older brother (by 8 years) Jake has been Patrick's best friend since they were young boys, and their parents have been closer and more parental to Patrick than his own. Lexie has been the 'little sister' to all the Stronghold Dom's since they've known her and none of them can break that image in order to allow her to pursue her interest in the BDSM lifestyle or her forever crush on Patrick. Even though Patrick is now viewing Lexie in a very different light, he is having serious difficulty in dealing with his changing responses to her. He also feels that he needs to advise Jake, who is in the military on overseas assignment in a wartorn country, that his feelings toward Jake's little sister are changing and he wants to pursue a relationship with her.This story is quite enjoyable and informational as it addresses many different mindsets and aspects of BDSM relationships as well as the transformation of Lexie from little sister (and brat) to Patrick's love interest.

This is a third story in the Stronghold series. It’s a standalone. Of course, you don’t have to read the other books but you will want to because the characters and their dynamics will entice you to read more about them! These stories are more than just erotic. The scenes are crafted in a way that draws you in. You feel like you are standing on the sidelines in the club or watching the scenes unfold at a movie. The dynamics between Patrick and Lexie is a rollercoaster of emotions. These two are perfect for each other but one of them is fighting it and the other is learning exactly what it means to be in the lifestyle. Patrick is an Alpha, Alpha Dom. Meaning he is uber controlled. Lexie is definitely a sassy submissive that wiggles under the tight rein that controls Patrick. There’s a lot of story here and it has a lot of feels. Just when you think everything is going to move forward they take a few steps back. Of course, the BDSM scenes are scorching hot! I love that there is an HEA for these two!

I love this series! Book can be read as stand-alone, but there are many secondary characters from the previous books. Told in dual POV with a HEA for this couple. Lexie did some growing up in this book and realized her actions affect more than just herself. Patrick stopped allowing Lexie to push their relationship timeline. I highly recommend reading the Venus Rising series first and then the Stronghold series. All of the secondary characters are a friend group that are in each of the books, I love reading about them as much as the main couple in each book.

The third book in the Stronghold series. You can read it as a stand alone, but you will get more enjoyment if you read at least the first book.I loved Lexie from the start so i was looking forward to reading her story. I love how spunky and full of life she and how she goes after what she wants. It was wonderful to see her journey into submission and her joy. She also grows up in the book.It was quite funny to see how patricks struggles with his feeling and how lexie is testing his patience, but it was heartwarming to see how you took care of her.A wonderful read.

Absolutely loved this book. The re were lots of LOL moments and some tears too. This series is a BDSM series, so if you don't want to read about sex, then this book isn't for you. Although it does have a lot of sex in it, I feel it's more about the characters and their lives with each other. I just love them all. And I do love this authors writing. It seems like every time that I think it is getting too emotional for me, she relieves some of the pressure with a great funny line. I think one of my favorites is when one character is upset and saying that " she thought he was her knight in shining armor" and another says that " sometimes they are just idiots in tin foil"! How true is that? LOL If you are a fan of Cherise Sinclair, I think you would enjoy this series too.

Lexie wants Patrick and he wants her but wants to wait until her brother returns from the service to speak to him about it. Lexie wants Patrick and all their friends to realize she is an adult and capable of making up her own mind especially when it comes to her sex life and that she wants Patrick to be her Dom. Will they get past the obstacles that face them especially her brother? Will her friends be ok with their decision? Will Lexie get what she wants or will it all fall apart?

Finally Patrick and Lexie get their story. It was emotional and intense, I loved it! I think seeing their struggle in the previous books helped make this one so much better!

Very good book. I loved the characters, the steamy, sexy and very interesting story of Patrick and Lexie. He was and is in love with Lexie and Lexie is in love with him but things just keep them from being together. Cant wait for the next book.
