It is easy to use and understand and the real life stories are both entertaining as well as informative. Given the science and research behind this guide I feel confident in the accuracy of the information. I purchased copies for my trainer, barn manager, and farrier and their collective professional opinion is “WOWâ€. I recommend this book for the novice and professional alike. This book both validates information you may already know or helps you sort out the chaos of conflicting opinions; easy to comprehend and very clear.
I wish this book had been available back in the early 70's when I was just starting my breeding program and struggled with creating the optimum feeding program for all my horses thru showing, pregnancies, breeding stallions and growing foals. The detailed explanations of feed contents, dietary needs at different stages of life and charts and graphs make it a valuable asset to any equine owners library. This book is packed with useful information and tips for all horse owners. I liked it well enough to buy extra copies to give to friends.
It was definitely worth the money, and my horses are already improving with better nutrition.
